Biography

Daniel Goetzel recently joined the launch team for the Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) Directorate at the National Science Foundation (NSF).  In this role, he is co-leading economic development and entrepreneurship strategy around the launch of new initiatives.  Previously, he held senior roles at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University, heading up their startup accelerator, corporate partnerships, and innovation ecosystem building efforts.  He started his career in politics, working for a governor, senator and as employee #2 on a presidential campaign.

Daniel received his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and his bachelor’s degree from Emory University.
